1. About these terms

These terms govern charters booked with Luma Yacht(“Luma”, “we”, “us”), a TÜRSAB-licensed travel agency (A Group #14316) operating private yacht charters on the Bosphorus in Istanbul, Türkiye since 2001. By enquiring or confirming a booking with us you agree to these terms. The specific details of your charter (yacht, date, duration, price and inclusions) are set out in the written quote we send you, which forms part of your agreement with us.

2. Enquiries, quotes & booking

Charters are quote-led; there is no online checkout. You send us your date, group size, preferred time and occasion via the enquiry form or WhatsApp, and we reply with a fixed, all-in quote for a suitable yacht. Prices start from €200 for a short, whole-boat, crewed cruise; larger yachts and full-day itineraries are quoted individually. A quote is an offer for the stated date and conditions and is not a confirmed booking until accepted by you and confirmed by us. Your booking is confirmed once we acknowledge it in writing and any required deposit is received.

3. Prices & what's included

Unless your quote states otherwise, the charter price covers whole-boat hire for the booked window, a licensed captain and crew, fuel and your private Bosphorus route. Optional extras — such as catering, drinks, a DJ or live music, a cake, décor or a photographer — are arranged on request and added to your quote before you confirm. Prices are in euros (EUR); any taxes or fees are as stated in your quote.

4. Deposit & payment

We may ask for a deposit to secure your date, with the balance due as set out in your quote (typically before or on the day of the charter). Your date is held only once the deposit is received. Accepted payment methods and timings are confirmed with your quote. If a balance is not paid by the agreed time, we may treat the booking as cancelled.

5. Changes & cancellation

If you need to change or cancel, tell us as early as possible and we will do our best to help — the applicable terms, including any non-refundable deposit and notice periods, are set out in your quote. We may offer to reschedule where dates allow. If we have to cancel a charter for reasons within our control, we will offer a suitable alternative date or a refund of sums paid for the cancelled charter.

6. Weather & safety

Charters operate subject to weather and sea conditions and to the captain's judgement, whose decisions on safety, route and timing are final. If conditions make a charter unsafe, we will offer to reschedule to a mutually convenient date or, where rescheduling is not possible, discuss a fair resolution. All guests must follow the crew's safety instructions at all times.

7. Guest conduct & capacity

The maximum number of guests is the capacity of the booked yacht and may not be exceeded. Guests are responsible for behaving safely and respectfully on board. We may refuse boarding to, or end the charter for, anyone who is unsafe, intoxicated to a degree that endangers others, or in breach of these terms or the crew's instructions, without refund. You are responsible for any loss or damage caused by you or your guests to the yacht or its equipment.

8. Liability

We provide our charters with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for matters outside our reasonable control (including weather, force majeure, or third-party actions). Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Personal belongings remain your responsibility throughout the charter.

9. Privacy

We handle your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of Istanbul shall have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your place of residence.
